Meet Wendy Figone

I created Somatic Ecotherapy to help people reconnect with their bodies, each other, and the living world in a way that feels grounded, skillful, and real. My work brings together forest therapy, self-myofascial release, compassion-based practice, nature journaling, and trauma-informed facilitation to support restoration in a stressed and distracted world.

How I work with people, teams, and organizations

My work is flexible by design. Some people come for personal restoration. Others are planning retreats, seeking support for healthcare teams, shaping a trail project, or looking for a speaker who can bring practical tools into the room.

Why this work matters to me

I believe many of us are living with too much input and too little space to truly notice how we are doing. We may look functional on the outside while carrying stress, fatigue, disconnection, or grief in quieter ways.

What matters to me is creating experiences that help people come back to themselves gently.

Nature has a way of helping that happen. When we step into a more sensory, relational experience of the world, something begins to soften. Attention returns. Breath deepens. People remember that they are part of something larger than the pace and pressure of modern life.

That is the heart behind Somatic Ecotherapy.
