About Somatic Ecotherapy

A Living Bridge Between Healing and the More-Than-Human World

Somatic Ecotherapy brings together forest therapy, embodied healing, compassion, and deep respect for place. Through accessible, science-informed experiences, this work helps people reconnect with themselves, each other, and the living world.

A Living Bridge Between Healing and the More-Than-Human World

Helping people return to presence and reciprocity.

Our Mission

Somatic Ecotherapy exists to help people come back into relationship - with their bodies, with one another, and with the living world around them. In a time shaped by chronic stress, fractured attention, burnout, and disconnection, this work offers grounded experiences that support restoration, reflection, and belonging.

The larger vision is not only personal wellness. It is also public health, ecological stewardship, and more humane ways of living together. Through guided experiences, retreats, trail partnerships, and speaking, Somatic Ecotherapy helps create spaces where people can slow down, notice more deeply, and remember that they are part of a larger web of life.

Our Values

Accessibility

Nature-based healing should feel welcoming, practical, and available to more people.

Embodied Presence

Real change begins when people can slow down, sense, breathe, and feel what is true.

Science-Informed Practice

The work is rooted in evidence-based nature connection, somatic awareness, and lived experience.

Respect for Place

Healing happens in a relationship with land, not in separation from it.

How Science, Somatics, and Nature Work Together

Somatic Ecotherapy is built on a simple idea: people heal more deeply when attention, body awareness, and environment are all part of the experience.

Forest therapy helps people slow down and reconnect through guided sensory awareness. Somatic practices help release stress that has been carried in the body through posture, breath, tension, and daily habits. Nature journaling and reflective practices help people notice more clearly, think more creatively, and stay connected to what they experienced.

Together, these practices support nervous system regulation, attention recovery, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of connection. The goal is not performance. The goal is to help people feel more present, more resourced, and more able to meet life with clarity and care.

The Somatic Advantage for Groups

Traditional team building often stays in the head. Somatic Ecotherapy brings the nervous system into the room. By engaging with the forest and our own physiology, we resolve tensions that logic alone cannot touch. Whether you are navigating a merger, preventing burnout, or fostering new leadership, we provide the space for genuine restoration.

Stress Overload

Modern life often keeps the body and mind in a state of constant input.

Digital Fatigue

Fractured attention and screen saturation make it harder to focus, recover, and relate well.

Burnout and Disconnection

Many people are longing for clarity, ease, and a stronger sense of belonging.

A More Human Pace

Nature-based and somatic practices help create room to breathe, notice, and reconnect.
